TOP 6 TIPS TO SET THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS TABLE
Blog Post

We have created 2 delicious and festive menus so you can save time this Christmas. We do all the prep so you can spend less time cooking – but what about setting your Christmas table?

We’ve come up with 6 tips to help you set the perfect Christmas table!

1. CHOOSE A COLOUR SCHEME

Choosing a colour scheme is important to keep your Christmas table looking polished and refined. Create an elegant Christmas table by laying a linen cloth, white plates, gold cutlery and some Christmas foliage along the table.

2. PICK YOUR PLATES AND GLASSWARE

Pick plates and glassware that matches your colour scheme. Try layering or stacking plates to create an elegant look and add interest. We’ve made suggestions on choosing your serving plates – see page 5 of your recipe booklet.

Every Christmas table should have the three essential glasses – a wine glass, water glass and champagne flute (for the Christmas toast of course).

3. INCLUDE FANCY OR FOLDED NAPKINS

Christmas is a great excuse to bring out the fancy linen napkins. And why not add napkin rings, the perfect touch for a memorable day. Festive paper napkins also look great, especially when folded into simple designs.

4. CREATE SOME FESTIVE TOUCHES

Create some final touches by adding Christmas decorations, white flowers, foliage or even a wreath - every festive table needs greenery! Don’t forget to include Christmas crackers for each guest, gold or silver designs will tie everything together.

5. ADD PLACE CARDS

Create handwritten place cards for the table! These are easy to create and adds a personal touch that shows you’ve gone the extra mile.

Tip: Don’t forget to add the Christmas menu cards to the table.

6. SET THE MOOD

Set the mood with low lighting and candles to create an intimate setting. Include tealights or candlesticks for a sophisticated look or keep it classic with glass jar candles. Check out Downlights for handmade scented soy candles.
