Cooking Instructions:
  • BEFORE COOKING:

    PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 210⁰C (FAN BAKE)

  • 1. TO COOK THE POTATO CHIPS AND PREPARE THE VEGETABLES:

    Line an oven tray with baking paper. Gently empty the bag of steamed fries onto the tray and pat dry to remove excess moisture, drizzle with oil and season with salt and pepper. Cook in the oven for 15 mins, turn the chips over and cook for a further 10-12 mins. Peel then finely slice the red onion.

  • 2. TO COOK THE SHAWARMA BEEF:

    Heat a drizzle of oil in a non-stick frying pan over a medium-high heat. Once hot add the pulled beef, sliced onion and the shawarma spices. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 4-5 mins mixing often.

  • 3. TO PREPARE THE SALAD:

    Dice the tomatoes into 1 cm chunks and add into a mixing bowl. Add the mesclun leaves, crumbled feta, season with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil.

  • TO SERVE:

    Spoon the hummus onto plates and spread with the back of a spoon. Add the fries and top with the shawarma beef. To finish top with the salad and a drizzle of the garlic sauce.
